UN/BODY

2025

Un/body (2025) is a meditation on the echoes of inherited experience. The title evokes a body undone—fragmented, shifting, or in the process of becoming—speaking to both rupture and transformation. Through material, repetition, and ritual, the work traces the quiet transmissions of intergenerational trauma and opens space for the possibility of collective healing. Latex nipples are cast and recast, held in resin like fossils of the maternal body. Latex sheets marked by concentric circles hang like skins or veils—membranes that hold time and memory. A skinned ladder leans in quiet tension, while ancestral totems stand witness. The space breathes with sound—murmurs, water, chimes, and silence—woven with generational resonance. Here, repetition becomes a language of care. Each gesture—casting, layering, positioning, suspension—is a ritual of return. Un/body holds space for rupture and remembrance, grief and transformation. Healing is understood not as something solitary but as a shared and continual unfolding through presence, attention, and ritual.
